As an alternative to the more expensive boutique hotels, the Crates at the Gaythering is an excellent budget choice. The Crates is a men-only hotel with simple, wood finished rooms and shared bath rooms. From the terrace of the hotel you have a nice view of Miami, there is also a spa and a hot tub. Lincoln Road is 700 meters away from Crates at the Gaythering, the Holocaust Memorial is 900 meters away, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden is one kilometer away and to the Miami Beach gay scene it is 1.5 kilometers. Here you will find several gay bars and clubs such as Palace, Twist and Score.
It was well located, so clean, staff were friendly and had everything that a standard hotel would offer and more. They think of everything in terms of the whole “hostel style but completely separate room” concept. The room was fully kitted out with everything I needed and it was comfortable, affordable and an overall fun and enjoyable stay. I’d definitely stay here again when in Miami...

The room was considerably comfortable for this incredible price point. The design was very clever, fresh, contemporary and fun. The staff was VERY pleasant, everyone was lovely. Everyone. The public spaces of the lobby made for a fun, warm, welcoming, unpretentious casual bar.

Their staff are nice, their bar is fun and their sauna is perfect to relieve the tiredness from walking and touring. They were having Gaysel when I visited and artists were very talented. I will definitely come back.

I loved that the staff was very friendly and helpful..I loved the the hotel was clean and they had a theme for every day of the week.. The location was awesome and was easy to get to where u wanted to go.
