Since the early 1970’s Key West has worked hard to become one of the most popular gay destinations. The city attracts every year over quarter of a million gay visitors. With this in mind, it is not surprising that there are many gay friendly hotels in the Key West Area. Many of Key Wests’ gay venues are in the neighbourhood of Duval Street. Last but not least, there are many great (gay friendly) beaches, where you can relax and enjoy the great weather. Higgs Beach is called the gay beach of Key West.
