Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece. The city has many tourist attractions. Start at the White Tower, the city’s main landmark. The Rotunda and Arch of Galerius, both located near the university, are also worth seeing. You can walk to the Roman Forum and view the ancient ruins. You can also explore the Byzantine Walls on the upper side of the city. From there you can see the sea and Mount Olympus. You can visit Ano Poli and find traditional houses and narrow streets. For museums, check out the Archaeological Museum or the Museum of Byzantine Culture. If you want to explore the gay area, you can go around Valaoritou Street, where you find bars and clubs. You can move around Thessaloniki by bus, taxi, or on foot. You can also rent a bike to explore the waterfront and nearby districts.
