The Tropicana Las Vegas is situated a ten minute drive from the Las Vegas airport. The hotel has a large casino, many restaurants & bars and a swimming pool. There is also a spa where you can go for a wide range of beauty treatments. The Tropicana Las Vegas is very gay friendly and hosts one of the biggest gay sports competitions in the world. In addition, the hotel supports events to promote gay emancipation. From the hotel it is about two kilometers to the gay bars near Paradise Road and six kilometers to the Commercial Center.
The Tropicana is a great way to escape the gigantic mega-resorts of the current day Vegas having opened in '57 and thus retaining some of its classic charm. The room was extremely comfy, smelled nice, had a great view and was very quiet. Also very cheap.
